Based on a true story. It's been 20 years since Tomás Choc last saw his daughter Lucía, who was kidnapped during the Guatemalan civil war. While others would have assumed the worst, Tomás held out hope, keeping a diary of his years of adversity and survival, to one day share with her. When he discovers she's been found alive, Tomás sets out on a difficult journey to be reunited with his only child.
