"A vampire flick as only Jim Jarmusch would ever conceive it, languidly poetic, worldweary and crammed with hipster in-jokes." –NPR.

"The much-needed rescue of a classic monster from the grubby grip of tween novels." –Newark Star-Ledger.

"Sent me out into the full-mooned night, all senses elated, on a glad-to-be-alive high." –Time Out New York.

Set against the romantic desolation of Detroit and Tangier, an underground musician (Tom Hiddleston), deeply depressed by the direction of human activities, reunites with his resilient and enigmatic lover (Tilda Swinton). Their love story has already endured several centuries at least, but their idyll is soon disrupted by her wild and uncontrollable younger sister (Mia Wasikowska). Can these wise but fragile outsiders continue to survive as the modern world collapses around them?
