OSCAR NIGHT® CELEBRATION
Enjoy a red-carpet evening at Washington's only official OSCAR NIGHT® celebration! The party begins at 7:00 p.m. with specialty cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and fabulous red carpet arrivals! Work the room and enjoy a unique exhibition of animation art from classic Oscar®-nominated films, provided by ArtInsights Animation Gallery of Reston, Virginia. Bid your way to movie treasures at the silent auction, also happening in the lobby. Be sure to pick up your "Predict the Winners" ballot, because at 8:00 p.m. the live Oscar® broadcast begins in all three of the AFI Silver's luxury theaters!

Note: ALL Tickets are general admission. Seating is not theatre specific and will be determined on a first-come first-served basis.

  • In the historic Silver Theatre enjoy a lively viewing atmosphere with special guest emcee Desson Thomson!

  • In Silver II (our 200 seat theater) enjoy the live broadcast featuring Q&A with the programmers of the AFI Silver!.

  • Silver III (our 75 seat theater) is for the cinephile who enjoys their Oscar® viewing just like their movie viewing - QUIET!
